Meet Your Farmer
Hi, I’m Heather, the grower of all these wonderful, beautiful flowers, with help from my son, Bryson, and my husband, Bryan. Our dog, Malley, tags along for moral and emotional support and takes naps amongst the flowers.
I started the farm in hopes of finding my footing after entering a new phase of life. A place of fulfillment, peace, and joy.
My mission is to share the beauty and wonder of the natural world with our community, bringing you joy and happiness with each bouquet you display and sharing in your life’s real moments.

From ranunculus to anemones in early spring to dahlias in late fall, our fields change with the seasons.

D.I.Y. Flower Buckets
Mixed Flower Buckets are for those who want to DIY their special events (showers, birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, or other holiday gatherings). Each standard flower bucket contains a colorful assortment of focal and filler flower varieties
Dried & Fresh Flowers
Stop by our farm flower stand, Downtown Wooster Farmers’ market booth, Sayre’s Marketplace, or order online to enjoy our beautiful, seasonal, fresh flower bouquets and lasting dried flower arrangements. We create bouquets for HOCO or other special events.
Where Flowers and Family Meet
Away First Farm began as a new chapter — a chance to rediscover beauty, purpose, and connection through flowers, horses and hogs. Our farm is named in honor of Away First, a special quarter horse whose steady spirit guided our family for many years. His name now carries forward into this place where memories, meaning, and blooms come together.
What started as a simple love for growing things has become something much bigger: a way to slow down, notice the seasons, and share joy with the people around us.
Here, flowers are more than arrangements.
They are reminders of the moments they celebrate and that people care.

The Farm Stand

Open seasonally, June-October. Visit Facebook for updated hours and inventory.
Only our farm stand is open to the public.
Hours: Wednesday and Friday evenings, 4 pm to dusk, and Saturday mornings, 7:00 am to Noon (or until sold out!)
Our farm stand is self-serve, and we accept cash, Venmo and credit cards (link at stand) as forms of payment. As always, cash is king!
