I’m the owner and chief flower farmer at Away First Farm. After spending 15 years in Kentucky working as a 4-H Youth Development Agent, our family entered a new season of life and moved back to Wayne County, Ohio. Along the way, I launched the Agriculture Unboxed Shop and we found a piece of land that felt like home—where we’ve been slowly building the farm we always dreamed of.

A couple of years ago, I began growing flowers while searching for something in nature that sparked creativity and purpose again. It didn’t take long to realize how much joy flowers bring—not just to me, but to others. There’s something special about seeing someone’s face light up or placing a fresh bouquet on the kitchen counter. That simple beauty is what I love sharing with my community.

You can find my flowers at our self-serve farm stand (built by my dad), at Sayre’s Marketplace in Smithville, and at the Downtown Wooster Farmers Market from May through October.
